Welcome to the Department of Government Relations

MISSION STATEMENT

The primary function of the Office of Government Relations is to serve as a liaison with all levels of government on behalf of the College of Charleston.  The Government Relations Office monitors state and federal legislation to identify issues that may affect the College of Charleston.

The Director of Government Relations will monitor the university's legislative agenda and keep the Board of Trustees, President, Senior Leadership Team, and other campus constituents informed of all activities by the university involving the South Carolina General Assembly, the Governor's Office, the United States Congress, local government agencies, and all other state boards and commissions.
